Same Day Last Year

As I was doing my everyday internet browsing, I noticed people posting where were they exactly a year ago. So I looked back, and landed that I was in Davao for a work-related travel. Time flies fast, feels like it happened just a month ago or so.

By the way, Davao is a very good city; Streets are clean, people are disciplined. One can even go take a walk safely at night. And their taxi drivers are cool. They give you your change with receipt no matter how small it is unlike here in the metro.

If I have the opportunity, I'd definitely go back to this wonderful city in Mindanao. 

Manic Monday

I can count a few people who love Mondays. And what happened last Monday (August 6, 2012) night was one for the books. The rain was so furious that it submerged numerous areas in the Metro. I've walked through the flooded Balintawak(just beneath the LRT Balintawak station), just to get to my parents who parked at a near gas station. The last time that I've encountered something like this was during the wrath of Typhoon Ondoy. I'm still thankful how we managed to get home early as many are still stranded when we hit the road.

And the sad thing about it is that no one anticipated what's going to happen the next day.
